Jul 04, 2025 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Come and join fellow CTR Rotarians to kick off our Rhythms at the Riverwalk promotion at the annual Double Oak 4th of July Parade OR the Flower Mound Children's 4th of July Bicycle parade.  We will have Lucky 1 and Lucky 2 at each event so lots of opportunities for great photos to share on social media.

  • The Town of Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department has their annual parade which starts at 9:30 and ends with a community picnic from 10:00 to 2:00 at John B. Wright Park near Town Hall.  Cross Timbers will have our float with our giant blow up duck and volunteers will walk the parade route giving out information on our Rhythms event as well as hand out candy and red, white and blue beads.  Note that the parade route is approximately 3 miles long and you will be walking most of it so comfortable shoes are a MUST.  Water bottles will be provided.  Meeting spot to decorate the float will be in the south parking lot at Downing Middle school at 8:00 a.m.  The "float" will leave to get in line for the parade at 8:45 SHARP so please do not be late.  After the parade, everyone will be dropped off at original meeting spot.
  • The Town of Flower Mound will be holding their annual 4th of July Children’s parade where kids can decorate their bikes, trikes, wagons and strollers for a short parade ending at Leonard and Helen Johns Parking lot (the old LISD School Admin building).  We will have merchandise for sale and need volunteers to help promote our September event and sell merchandise.  The Summit Club of Flower Mound will be providing hot dogs and drinks and there will also be children’s activities and live entertainment

Duck Derby Prep 🦆- Helpers Needed
Sep 15, 2025 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Hello Cross Timbers!

It’s almost race time! Before our ducks hit the water, we need to give our race course equipment (bumpers, floats, and waterfall backdrop) a good once-over to make sure everything is in tip-top shape for the big day.

We’re looking for 8–12 helpers to join us:🦆

📍 Bobby Dollak’s house – 1601 Castle Rock Dr., Lewisville (park in the back alley)
📅 Monday, Sept 15
⏰ 6:00–8:00 PM

Bring your Rotarian spirit (and maybe some gloves) — rumor has it there may be a cooler of cold beer nearby. 😉

Let’s knock this out together so our Duck Derby course is ready to go!
